The Duty RDS™ (Red Dot Sight) offers a bright, crisp 2 MOA dot that’s ideal for short to medium range target engagements. All new windage and elevation adjustments are flush mounted and waterproof, eliminating the need for protective caps. The turrets provide audible “clicks” when zeroing the optic. The dot brightness intensity switch is a digital keypad with intuitive push buttons that can easily be manipulated while wearing gloves. The pressure forged aluminum alloy housing provides durability against extreme abuse and drastic temperature changes. The Duty RDS comes with a one-piece torsion nut mount that attaches to MIL-STD-1913 picatinny rails. The sight is fully compatible with all generations of night vision devices.
The Duty RDS withstands extremely tough handling and offers Aimpoint quality at a more accessible price point.

What is not to love about this thing? It’s a mini PRO but better. Equal or better specs, better weight and size savings, better battery. Plus it’s only about $50 more for better features. The only thing I could have “complained” about before was the mounting height but multiple companies were super quick to deal with that so it’s non issue now. As for the adjustments, well, keep a spare torx with you on the off chance you’ll need adjustments, it takes up no space or weight. This thing just rocks.

Managed to snag 2 of these on a recent drop. Prior to buying the optic I heard complaints regarding the blue tint of the glass, to be honest, I didn’t even really notice it until I was reminded of that complaint. The fact that a tool is needed to make adjustments is not a big deal to me as typically once you set a zero on a dot, you shouldn’t need to adjust it. My only real reservation on the optic was going to be the mount support that factored in the height of the actual optic and its built in riser height, so I was beyond happy to see Unity make a mount for it. This is an absolute value at a retail price of $500!
