The Gen 3 Ambidextrous Charging Handle is designed to be significantly more robust than a GI handle as well as giving and ambidextrous capability. The Gen 3 latches are just the right size and shape to give you rapid access while having a generous radii to avoid being a snag hazard. Machined from 7075 T6 forgings, this handle is significantly stronger than those made from billet or extrusions. Large Stainless Steel pins hold the latches in place, and the mechanism is operated by a Stainless Steel sling. I couldn’t be happier with this CH. Excellent quality and ridiculously smooth. If you have a magnifier it helps bigtime if you like to run your magnifier as far back as possible. Shipping was fast as usual and BTO just knows how to make you feel VIP. Big thanks to the BTO Brood.

My favorite charging handle out of my current options! I have run the Radian and Geissele charging handles for quite a while and considered the Radian to be the gold standard. That is, until I bought the Badger. I love the ergonomics of this charging handle, and the leverage you’re able to apply to it in awkward positions. I do believe that due to the size of the handle the use case is different than some of the other, smaller, competitors. Even though all of the surfaces are rounded, I still believe that if you’re running full kit on a regular basis it might not be the pick for you, but even then it may. Give it a try, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed!

It’s an amazing charging handle but the clear anodize isn’t what I thought. It’s more a very light olive color which I’ve found out is typical for clear anodize. I sent it back and bto paid for it everything, no questions asked. Great company to deal with.
