The MAWL-C1+ is the world’s first commercially available NIR and visible green laser aiming device using Class 1+ technology. The MAWL-C1+ retains all of the ergonomic, clarity, modularity, and interface enhancements of the MAWL-DA, and offers more infrared illumination output power than any FDA Class 3R or Class 1 laser on the commercial market.
The MAWL-C1+ has significantly greater illumination range as well as improved beam pattern and quality at all ranges compared to other commercially available laser devices. The Laser’s design simplifies complex multi-position switches and consolidates these choices into the settings you need: Short Range, Mid-Range, and Long Range, with the power and divergences appropriate for each.
At only 0.37” above the rail, the buttons are lower than any other device, and fits perfectly with common weapon lights and micro BUIS. It is also completely ambidextrous: simply swap the endcap and head, and remount to use left handed.

Introducing the civilian legal MAWL-C1+ made by B.E. Meyers, features a visible green laser, infrared laser, and infrared illuminator.
Only available in EC2 end cap
EC2 features a threaded battery cap that allows for tool less battery replacement, and redesigned remote fire ports for easy access while weapon mounted. Ports are now placed at the top of the end cap and provides additional clearance for other accessories mounted to the platform.

THREE RANGES

Optimized for room to room engagements and building interiors, Short Range mode offers smooth, room filling illumination with no discernible speckling or edges and no excessive bloom. The admin function activates a low energy IR illuminator with no pointer for navigating extremely dark areas without discharging an extra IR light.
Mid Range mode excels at urban building to building movement and is appropriate for alleyways, streets, building exteriors, and rooftops. Mid Range offers dual illuminators and a pointer; a mid range wide angle flood with a tight hot spot for punching out further distances. Admin function redistributes the illuminator outputs to optimize longer range illumination without switching into Long Range mode.
Long range mode pushes out a tight divergence, high power illuminator and pointer for open environment engagement or for punching through strong non-natural ambient illumination. Admin function is a single high power pointer with no illuminator for communications or signaling purposes.
Short and mid range green settings cycle through increasing output powers for the green pointer. The user can quickly adjust to the correct output appropriate for day, night, indoor, or outdoor.
Completely ambidextrous; simply swap the tailcap and head and remount to use left handed. The MAWL can be configured and mounted as the user sees fit

This was my first transaction with Big Tex and couldn’t be happier. We all know the Mawl speaks for itself in performance. One of the best if not the best civilian laser illuminators on the market. The MAWL-C1+ is a awesome civilian rated MFAL. The MAWL has very simple controls to obtain the correct range you want to use the laser and illuminator. The short mode setting has a 60 degree wide flood illuminator with a center pointer which you want for a CQB situation and fills your FOV of either a mono or bino NVG setup and the other button gives you a low power ir pointer for admin use. The mid mode setting has good option of going a wide with a 10 degree illuminator and a center pointer and a 2 degree illuminator with a center pointer for a more precision use. Then there is the long mode that has a more powerful output of the same degrees offering of the mid range settings to allow further range penetration and usage. The new triple-click feature for the long range mode allows you to have a more powerful 2 degree illuminator but with a dimmer ir laser pointer for a more precision/long range use and then there is a ir only pointer for admin use.
Its quite heavy so it will make your rifle be pretty front heavy, but its a low profile due to the design so it won’t obstruct iron sights or be in your FOV of your primary optic even with your thumbs on the fire buttons.
The MAWL is very robust, its rugged and hasn’t lost its zero.
OD green is a very nice color, its darker than I expected and can only be seen with light put upon it otherwise it pretty much look like black to me and matches with my black handguard.

Not so much a review of the MAWL, because we all know they’re great, but more about the customer service here. Ian and Chris went above and beyond to help me get this ordered when I feel like a lot of other vendors would have just ignored my email. Can’t say enough good things about these guys. Big Tex will forever be my first stop when looking for absolutely anything in the future.

First of all, this was on my doorstep in less than 24 hours from ordering. Free ship to CA – that’s awesome. Customer service answered my question about these being the newest unit and updated their product description that day, awesome.
This thing is amazing, I was on the fence about it being a civ powered unit and being so expensive but this thing is amazing. The videos don’t do this thing justice. The illuminator is just amazing, and the ability to quickly go from spot to flood is a game changer. The illuminator on high will go beyond what I can identify with my night vision. The IR laser is fantastic, it’s the perfect power, I was worried it would feel underpowered but it is easy to put on target and doesn’t wash out my night vision like FP units do. I will take this thing over a full power unit any day. The only thing i dislike is the double click for constant but i’ll get over that with training. The new extra long distant mode is pretty sweet, love the option. No buyers remorse on this purchase. 5/5
