I purchased the CM4 because of Centurion’s reputation for building quality carbines with an impressive balance between reliability and accuracy. The features of the firearm that met and exceeded my expectations were the following:
•Pinned gas block
•Properly-sized gas port and buffer/buffer spring combo facilitates an appropriately light recoil impulse (55gr brass cased ammunition ejects into a consistently small pile at approximately 4:30)
•Cam pin features the Centurion logo with the bullet tip facing forward (likely meant to assist with consistently positioning the pin in the same direction after disassembly and reassembly during cleaning)
•Noticeably light weight and well-balanced
•Impressive staking on the BCG and castle nut
•Exceptionally polished feed ramps
