Hodge Defense Systems bolt carrier groups are no frills, black nitrided bolt carrier groups with a 9310 bolt. When manufactured and heat treated correctly, 9310 is slightly stronger than Carpenter 158 bolts.

HDSI BCGs are Magnetic Particle Inspected (MPI), properly staked, individually inspected for quality assurance and individually test-fired.

    Only 9310 BCG I trust to be hardened correctly. I’ve seen too many other brand 9310 bolts break at low round counts due to brittleness from a bad heat treat.
