The new HE509-T Micro Red Dot System from Holosun is an enclosed reflex optical sight designed for pistol applications, clear glass and a rugged Titanium housing. It is powered by a CR1632 battery and Holosun’s innovative Solar Fail-safe back up. The HE509T will run over 5 years on a single battery on setting 6, dot only. Featuring Holosun’s Multi-reticle system, the HE509T allows the operator to switch the reticle between a 32 MOA circle with 2 MOA dot, or a 2 MOA dot only, all at the push of a button. Better yet, the same LED projects both reticles, so no re-zeroing is necessary. It comes equipped with Holosun’s Shake Awake technology with last setting recall. This optic has all of Holosun’s features in one tough, small package. Fits RMR mounts and most milled slides. Included adapter plate is not compatible with ZEV or Shadow Systems RMR cuts.

Great optic if you want a closed emitter. Used the included plate to mount to a RMR cut slide, fits great. I like the dot and ring combo for the sights, more to see when getting a sight picture.

I’m really impressed with this optic. Had been hesitant to try due to the cost and the unique mounting footprint. Recently grabbed a Walther PDP and these happened to go on sale at the same time. It was meant to be. It includes an RMR cut adapter… so once I got my free RMR plate from Walther, away we went. It fit perfectly.
Dot is bright and crisp. Glass has a VERY SLIGHT magnification to it… but it’s unnoticeable during active shooting. I’ve got a couple of USPSA matches on it so far and couldn’t be more pleased. The big buttons on this model are far more desirable than the 507×2

Works well under NV. Solid mounting system. No water pooling up in the emitter on rainy range days, unlike with open emitter optics.
I wish the rear glass was a bit recessed, or had more of a bezel around it to protect it. Maybe an upgrade to be seen in v2.
