The LWRC IC forged complete ambidextrous lower receiver is an excellent starting point for a hard-use rifle.
The LWRC IC lower receiver offers ambidextrous controls to include: selector, magazine release and bolt catch and release. An enhanced flared magazine well and ambidextrous magazine and bolt catch mechanisms are machined directly into the receiver and have been designed to function as ergonomically as possible.
This lower receiver is designed with several unique LWRC features to further enhance its durability and versatility. All the controls are easily accessible without needing to change your grip on the rifle. Included is the LWRC Enhanced Fire Control Group with a Nickel Boron coating for a smooth pull every time. The lower itself is forged from aluminum, hardcoat anodized.

If you want a completely ambidextrous lower receiver, LWRC makes the best there is. Unlike most, these lowers are machined from forgings which makes them stronger than anything machined from a billet of equal material. The closest forged lower I’ve used is the LMT MARS-L. That one is great, but this is a step above that one in terms of quality. The right-side bolt catch/release channel is fully integrated into the design whereas the LMT has a slightly simpler-to-machine channel that uses a polymer cover over the channel. But, both of them have fully fenced left-side magazine release buttons. Considering this lower is fully populated with a buffer extension, H2 buffer, spring, and stock, you’re getting a lot more value than the typical going rate for a MARS-L. Until recently, stand-alone LWRC lowers have been hard to get. If you’re looking to build a truly high-end AR pattern firearm, it’s hard to beat what this lower offers. If you happen to be properly licensed and in the business of making dealer samples, this is also the first time I’ve seen a forged ambi lower that is ready accept the additional FCG components. I only wish I wasn’t limited to purchasing only one.
