The DT Carbine stock from Magpul is a drop-in replacement for firearms equipped with a Mil-Spec receiver extension tube. Featuring dual tensioning technology, combining the best features of the SL and CTR stocks, the DT Carbine stock provides greater strength and stability that’s super easy to adjust. The A-frame style carbine stock features an auto engaging friction lock providing extra tight lockup on the buffer tube without the need for a manual secondary friction lock. The result is increased durability in case of severe impacts and quick, smooth, and frictionless length-of-pull adjustments on the fly.
- Dual Tension locking system improves ease of adjustment while securing LOP placement, limiting secondary movements, and improving durability
- Ambidextrous controls
- Newly designed non-slip butt pad
- Rotation-limiting QD sling mount
- 1.25″ footman’s loop sling mount
- Compatible with CTR Cheek Risers

Very comfortable stock. Might be my new go to. Kinda in between a CTR and a STR.

Bought this stock to put a GBRS .75” cheek riser on it with a Badger 1.7 mount & piggy back 12:00 red dot mount. Works perfect for the piggyback red dot!

best stock so far(i have b5 sopmod/enhanced/ctr) . Definitely a upgrade from CTR. It as tight as old CTR stock while having 2 upgrades:
1. buttpad is wider than CTR while still keep the curve. This makes shoulder more stable and easy.
2. limited rotation for Sling qd slot. My sling won’t mess up again.

This is as same tight as CTR on my lmt buffer tube. It still has some serious upgrade comparing to old CTR.
1. I like buttpad on DT more because it is wider than CTR so it is easier to shoulder and reference.
2. the limited rotation QD slot is great. Now my sling wouldn’t tangle itself ever.

I replaced a CTR stock on a BCM lower receiver with a DT stock and overall the DT stock may be a bit more rigid but still has fore and aft movement, side to side slop and up and down slop. I then tried the DT stock on a Sons of Liberty Gun Works Loyal 9 Position A5 receiver extension and the DT stock still had fore and aft movement, side to side slop and up and down slop. If this is going to be the norm for stock to receiver extension fit, then I do not recommend the DT stock be purchased to replace a CTR stock. For a first time purchase the DT stock may work for you.
