Modlite 18350 1200mAh Protected Button Top

Note: These cells come in individual sealed Mylar packages with two cells to a box. You will receive two cells when you choose a quantity of one.

This is the cell we recommend for the PLHv2 and OKW light heads.

This is the best batteries we offer for high discharge flashlights. The cell inside the battery is made by LG Chem in Korea.  We then add a high quality protection PCB/BMS along with the button/nipple top in an ISO 9001 certified factory to all safety standards.  A black wrap is put over the top to hold it together.

These are manufactured with a very high quality PCB including a Japanese Ricoh protection IC for 18A high current cutoff (most PCBs will not be able to handle this much current).   This protection circuit protects the battery from mishandling, overcharge, or over discharge while allowing the battery to do its job properly.

18350’s are a rarer size of lithium ion cells, and thus there aren’t too many premium options for fuelling lights that use this size. SureFire makes an 18350 compatible unit, but they are slightly lower spec capacity than these and cost nearly as much for a single one than what you pay for a pair of these. Interestingly not all of these pairs are the same. If you use an advanced charger like the NiteCore D4 that can not.onky charge but also evaluate the health of cells, you can see if your cells are in good or poor health. I have purchased three pairs of these ModLite cells over the years and two sets came with good rated cells, but the last set was rated bad. They seem to last just as long in use, thus far, but it’s something I’ll have to keep an eye on and do more testing of.

As with all things, caveat emptor (buyer beware)!

Sometimes they take a charge, sometimes not. Maybe I got a bad batch. In my PL350 they last about 30 min
