Big Tex Ordnance Exclusive Sons Of Liberty Gun Works 15″ M-89 Rebellious Stripes Builders Set “Rattle Can” Cerakote
The revolutionary, patent-pending Drivelock design, uses a Hodge Defense-designed extrusion with three independent wedges that interface with the angular grooves in a proprietary barrel nut. This system clamps the rail onto the steel barrel nut with extreme force and precision, while also driving the handguard rearward towards the upper receiver. The slightly larger ID of that extrusion gives more real estate around the gas block, even more rigidity than the M76, and takes longer to heat.
In 1767, the Sons of Liberty adopted a flag called the “Rebellious Stripes” with nine uneven vertical stripes (five red and four white). That nine represented the number of colonies that were to attend the Stamp Act Congress.
The Sons of Liberty Gun Works AR-15 lower receivers are built from mil-spec 7075-T6 forgings from the lead forge in the U.S. They contour is fully machined leaving no flash marks from the forging. We take extra care when machining our lower receivers resulting in tolerances that are tighter and fits that are better than other lower receivers. We use mil-spec Matte black hard-coat anodized Mil 8625 Type 3 Class 2 finish.
