Description
The Sons of Liberty Gun Works stripped upper receivers are made to the tightest tolerances while still being compatible with Mil-Spec parts and upper receivers. This ensures that there is absolutely no wobble between receivers which can affect accuracy. These stripped AR-15 upper receivers are a great starting point for your next build. They are forged from 7075-T6 aluminum, which is known for its high strength and crack resistant properties while also being lighter than 6061. After the forging process is complete, the receivers go through a final machining process to eliminate flash marks and true up the tolerances to be better than MIL-SPEC. Finally, each AR upper is coated in a black hardcoat anodized type III with an R5 bright dip to further increase corrosion and wear resistance. I had an SOLGW lower that needed a partner, and this was a perfect fit. The lower was a “blem” as well, with a tiny pin hole in the finish, while I am sure the upper had something similar, I could not find it. Might have needed my glasses for that. Regardless, a prime part, perfect fit and superb finish. It was packed and shipped within ten minutes of placing the order! I accidently clicked mail rather than pickup in store (I live 5 minutes away) but the shipping was very fairly priced and happened so fast I got it the next day. I have many Anderson and PSA uppers, but this one if superior. If I ever feel the urge to build another AR, it will be SOLGW from Big Tex!

Incredible deal! I checked my upper over and it looks good. I am pretty sure it is a blem because of a slightly different anodizing color. Other than the slight color difference, the it is perfect. SOLGW has such a high standard or their uppers, even their blemished parts are high quaility.

What a great part and deal. The blemish on mine- one very small chipon the left side prior to anodizing. The blem was marked by blue painters tape. I’ll take those discounts for those tiny blemishes every time.
