Sons of Liberty Gun Works L9 Receiver Extension Kit | SOLGW

For years we have been well known for our bundled “A5KIT’s” offered – allowing users to purchase one kit to install an A5 (intermediate) length receiver extension on the lower receiver. We have introduced
two small changes to these bundled kits for 2024. To meet our current demand schedules for these kits, as well as the rifles built using them, we have partnered with BCM to offer our own version of their MK2 Recoil Management System. This 5.6oz (T2) buffer is a drop-in replacement for the A5H2 weight the majority of our rifles have been shipping with for almost 10 years now. Both of these systems utilize a rifle-length action spring, and an internal buffer biasing spring,
contributing to their soft shooting, feel, and mechanical reliability. The most noticeable change to the end user will be the color, as these new buffers will be Black, with our Rebellious Stripes laser engraved on their face.
While we were making this change, we thought it best to also switch to the A5/Intermediate optimized castle nut from Forward Controls Design, the CN5F. The CN5F being roughly 25% longer than a standard castle nut reinforces one of the weaker joints in the M4 – the receiver extension to lower receiver junction. By surrounding the aluminum threads on the receiver extension with steel, even borderline abusive handling of the rifle (such as mortaring a stuck case) will be even less likely to cause any damage.

We are making these changes to our factory-built rifles as well. Please note, as the CN5F is longer, is it incapable with milspec/ carbine length receiver extensions.  We will be using milspec castle nuts on carbine length receiver extension builds moving forward (EXO3, Patrol-SL, & .300BLK items).
