Now available for the commercial market, the first eye-safe IR laser pointer, IR illuminator and green laser pointer in a single compact unit. Features an adjustable IR illuminator for better illumination at longer ranges, dual activation switches and high/low power modes.
The DBAL-A3 civilian model is based on the standard issue DBAL-A3 for U.S. warfighters. And just like the restricted models, this unit offers the latest advances in IR and visible laser technology. The dual-beam infrared laser and illuminator combination is extremely accurate in low- and no-light maneuvers. In addition, the DBAL-A3 is the first to feature new defocused adjustable IR illumination technology to enable both midrange and close quarter target acquisition.

So far the I haven’t had any problems with my dbal a3. The construction of the unit is extremely solid and sits nicely on the rail. The user controls aren’t quite as intuitive as something like a apital-c, but a quick YouTube search or reading of the manual and its pretty easy to understand all the settings. The only thing that concerns me is the strength of the tape switch plug. I know in the past some units have the had the plug ‘un-glue’ themselves from the unit when using after market switches such as the modlite mod buttons. Knowing this I just plugged in my mod button and don’t plan on removing it. Overall, I don’t have any complaints and will edit my review in the feature if anything changes!
