The SureFire Adapter Carbon Scraping Tool (ACST) is designed to remove carbon fouling from the corresponding SureFire suppressor adapter to an adequate level for proper attachment of the suppressor. While carbon may still be visible on the adapter this is not a concern as this precision tool is designed to ensure correct tolerances are kept for suppressor fitment. The ACST is compatible with most SureFire muzzle brakes, flash hiders and warcomps. To use, simply place the ACST over the SureFire “Suppressor Adapter” and rotate clockwise and counter-clockwise until carbon fouling is removed. The tool requires little maintenance and can either be wiped cleaned or compressed air can be used to clean the inside of the ACST. Stainless steel construction and Nitride finish allow for a tool that will not corrode. Cut your field cleaning time with a SureFire ACST.

An essential tool for those who shoot with their surefire cans often. These scraper tools will clean off the sides of the prongs helping you be able to take on and off the can more often.

I bought one in 7.62 and 5.56. Are they necessary? Not 100%, but they make cleaning faster. It scrapes the carbon off on the important lock up points. Go ahead and get one.
