The DS00 switch receptacle accepts ModButton and Hot Button switches as well as the Surefire ST07, SR07 and SR07-D-IT remote tape switches (sold separately). The DS Tailcap is a waterproof switch assembly for SureFire’s Scoutlight WeaponLights.  They also fit the Modlite WML bodies and any body that follows the Scout pattern. This tailcap includes system disable feature, click on/off pushbutton switch. The integrated pushbutton and remote switch assembly operates independently, providing switch redundancy.

    I have several of these units in both black and tan. I have not had a failure and waterproofing is obviously a huge benefit. As of now, in my opinion, there is not a better switch on the market.

    This is the ultimate, panic-proof modular light tail cap to have: If you are worried about your switch (be it Modlite or Unity or SureFire for that matter) incurring a failure or accidental disconnect (entirely possible when tussling with would-be raiders of Mom’s basement coming for the precious tendies), this tailcap has a streamlined but still prominently accessible buttom that can be partly depressed for momentary or fully depressed with a very positive CLICK to turn on constant activation of your white/IR light.

    Yes, it is expensive, because Surefire. And the switch that comes with it is arguably not the best, but it’s a good placeholder while you save up your allowance for a Unity Hot rail-mount button in FDE to flex on the poors.

    Have bought this and the DS07 multiple times, would and will buy again.

    Well constructed. Fits securely. Hot button for left handed activation, and the tail cap is for when I’m shooting weak side.
