Turbocharge Your Low-Light Vision. SureFire’s Everyday Carry Series punches deep into darkness with the EDC1-DFT, a Dual Fuel, high-candela handheld flashlight that delivers impressive beam designed explicitly for long-distance illumination in a remarkably compact form factor. With a blinding, peak beam intensity of 95,000 candela using the included SF18350 rechargeable lithium-ion battery or 55,000 candela from a single 123A primary battery, the EDC1-DFT’s concentrated, tightly focused beam pattern allows you to see farther into the darkness and positively identify any potential threat. In addition, it offers tremendous versatility by providing ample spill light to help the user maintain situational awareness. Constructed of lightweight aerospace aluminum, Mil-Spec hard-anodized, and O-ring sealed to keep out the elements, the body and tailcap are also knurled for a secure grip. A sturdy, two-way clip offers the added flexibility of bezel-up or bevel-down carry. The EDC1-DFT delivers SureFire quality, performance, and dependability in an everyday carry flashlight that provides peace of mind by helping you see farther into the unknown.

  • Blinding 95,000-candela peak beam intensity delivers extreme long-distance illumination (with included SF18350 battery)
  • Dual Fuel technology offers the flexibility of swapping between the rechargeable SF18350 battery or a single 123A lithium primary battery
  • Mil-Spec hard-anodized aluminum body and tempered window make it light, rugged, and durable; meets IPX7 waterproof test standard

This thing is a laser beam! Dual fuel is the only thing I’m willing to go for nowadays if available due to having both options. Rechargeable is cheaper than needing a constant resupply of CR123s, particularly when it comes to an EDC light. That being said, it’s nice to have the option of using CR123s if needed. As previously stated, the head is bigger than preferred but not an issue in most of the attire I wear. Tighter pants, you will probably want to opt for something smaller. Pricey but it’s a Surefire so I have no doubt I’ll get my moneys worth out of it.

This light is an absolute beast for edc. I was carrying the cloud mch HC prior to this and the edc1 dft has much more candella and is a vastly noticable difference. I also have intermittent glickering with the cloud which requires me to have to tightent tailcap or head to remedy. The build quality on this edc1 dft is top Notch and the gray ano has more of a bronze hue wihich I actually like alot. Big tex is always top notch as well as I recieved my package quickly. Just as a tip take it or leave it but you can order 26mm glass watch screen protectors for cheap to help protect that large beautiful window from getting scratched up. I would not recommend the glass protector for weapon mounted lights but for a handheld it provides the most light transmission while protecting the lens/window from scratches which it will be prone to due to the size of the lens. That’s the only minor downside is the head of the light is pretty big but it still pockets well for me. Maybe if you have tighter fitting pants it may be an issue but for me it’s no bigge. Thank you again Big Tex for always delivering the high quality goods and putting that extra effort into each package.
