FAST™ is a series of optic mounts and platforms that provide end users with a quicker sight picture than standard height mounts. A 2.26” optical centerline height provides faster/easier reticle acquisition while wearing electronic ear pro/communications headsets, night vision goggles and protective masks, and allows for more rapid visual processing of the battlefield by promoting a heads-up posture. A heads-up posture also helps users maintain a neutral spine position which is more comfortable while wearing helmets, plate carriers and other heavy gear.
FAST™ Absolute Riser securely elevates block-type red dot optics with an absolute co-witness height to a 2.26″ optical center line. FAST™ Absolute Riser provides an elevated M1913 Picatinny platform for direct attachment of optics, such as EOTech® XPS®, Leupold® LCO® and other absolute co-witness optics.
If you’re running a lower 1/3 co-witness height optic, you need the FAST™ Optic Riser.
The FAST™ Absolute Riser comes standard with a rail clamp and is compatible with our ADM QD lever kit (sold separately). The FAST™ Absolute Riser is built from 7075-T6 Aluminum and Type III Hardcoat Anodized Black or FDE*.

It’s honestly silly that a piece of aluminum costs $95, but that’s more an issue of the manufacturer and the gun community overhyping trends than it is Big Tex’s. BTO is the most affordable place to acquire one new with their point system so to their credit it’s the best place to get one.
The raised height gives better situational awareness but at range the chin weld is something that’s going to be a nuisance
