What is the V4 Series of Adapter Plates and Why?
The CHPWS V4 Series of adapter plates has evolved over the past five years because the OEM mounting plates are the weakest link in the Red Dot System.
The new V4 Series address two specific areas in the Red Dot Mounting:
Mounting Hardware
All new V4 plates will feature our Patent Pending replaceable stainless steel T-Nuts and stainless steel Torx® head screws which are used to mount the RDS (Red Dot System) to the V4 plate giving you the ability to replace the mounting hardware without replacing the entire plate.
The V4 Series retains its industry leading six to seven full revolutions of thread engagement for maximum retention.

I’m giving these three starts because when they’re in spec they work great no problems. That said. Almost 50% of the C&H plates I’ve ordered through various venders have been out of spec. I’d recommend the Forward Controls plates over these if FCD makes a plate for your optic/gun combo.

Dropped it off at my Local Gunsmith. When I went to pick it up, he had notified me that in order to install it, he had to do some modifications to make it fit. The plate was out of spec, and did not want to seat. He ended up wet sanding the front portion. All the screws that were provided were too long. He had to shave off two threads so the screws wouldn’t be protruding. Mounted on a G45 MOS with a Holosun 407c x2 wish he had notified me of this issue before modifying it. I probably would’ve returned it.

Great product for the MOS system

I ordered this for a Glock 48X MOS mounting an HE507C. The plate is solid and fit right into the slide cut. The one issue I did have is that there is a little play in the placement of the dot from side to side and making sure the dot wasn’t crooked on there after I tightened the screws. It took some extra time and I gave it some extra loctite for the screws mounting the dot to the plate. I’m a newby to the whole pistol mounted red dot thing so im not sure if this is common but after I got it mounted and set up I can shoot a tick off a dogs back at 50 yards and its solid so i’m happy.
