FAST™ is a series of optic mounts and platforms that provide end-users with a quicker sight picture than standard height mounts. A 2.26” optical centerline height provides faster/easier reticle acquisition while wearing electronic earpro/communications headsets, night vision goggles and gas masks and allows for more rapid visual processing of the battlefield by promoting a heads-up posture. A heads-up posture also helps users maintain a neutral spine position which is more comfortable while wearing helmets, plate carriers, and other heavy gear.
The FAST™ Micro Mount features built-in standard height back up iron sights that keep weapons uncluttered, without reducing capability. Both front and rear BUIS are completely adjustable for windage and elevation. The front sight post can be removed so that the rear BUIS aperture can be used with a traditional front sight such as our FUSION fixed or folding sights (if present), creating a more conventional sight radius. However, the built in front/rear BUIS is perfect for backup on super short PDW/SMG platforms where rail space is critical for mounting lights and lasers.
Designed for Aimpoint® Micro (H1, H2, T1, T2, CompM5) and other optics with Aimpoint® Micro footprint, such as those found on many Sig Sauer®, Holosun®, Primary Arms®, and Vortex Optics® platforms.
The FAST™ Micro Mount comes with a standard rail-grabber clamp mount, but is designed to readily accept a drop-in American Defense Manufacturing® patented QD Auto-Lock™ Lever (sold separately). This mounting option will provide quick detach capability.
The FAST™ Micro Mount is built from 7075-T6 Aluminum and Type III Hardcoat Anodized Black or FDE*.
* “FDE” is used throughout our catalog to reference a spectrum of colors that include tan, brown, bronze, earth, and everything in between. Due to the chemical process that takes place during Type III Hardcoat, the final finish can vary from part to part (even parts done in the same batch). Picked up another one because love the first one. Using on the truck gun with a 403 I think it is. Works great! Quality is solid and holds zero and ease of mounting.

I agree with the reviews already posted for this product and will only add comments that have not been said yet:
1) I find it much easier to get a proper cheek/chin index when support-side shooting with this mount versus absolute or lower 1/3 cowitness.
2) Poor friendly! I had no problems mounting my Sig Romeo-5 RDS to this mount (currently saving up to replace with T2).
3) The front sight post does not come pre-installed but is easy to install.
4) The torque spec for mounting to the pic rail is 35 in-lbs. For mounting the red dot I went finger tight with blue Loctite.

Easily best “tall” mount for for Aimpoint micros. Ingenious design with the built in BUIS inside the mount with the ability to remove the internal front sight of wanting to use a traditional front sight in conjunction with the built in rear. Outstanding service and fast shipping from BTO as always!

This is a highly specific (unusual) height for mounting red dots, but when used in conjunction with unity’s front sight (I use the fixed) and lightwing, it makes an excellent mount. I have had no issues with its make or durability. There is some training adjustment when moving from a normal height dot mount. I have noticed I had to make significant efforts at longer distances (300 and over) to keep my holds correct. My speed in acquiring the dot was badly thrown off for a few days, as it is much higher than I am accustomed to positioning my head on a rifle. All in all, know what you’re buying and it’s intended use. This is a product that centers around passive NV use or hilariously oversized people.

Best “tall” mount for micros out there! Very heads up, natural point of aim. Well thought out features, internal buis work well for short distance and are more intuitive than expected.
