The Modlite light 18650 handheld (includes tailcap) Body is designed as a direct replacement body for Surefire® Scout Light M600DF and KE2-DF heads. It will also fit all Modlite light heads.
The Modlite 18650 Light Body is compatible with Surefire® z68, Modlite TCC & HCC tailcaps and the along with Surefire UE and DS00 tail caps.
This light body accepts 18650 cells only. Lithium CR123 cells are not supported and if used will cause the cells to heat up and possibly explode or catch fire. We recommend the KeepPower high drain 3500mAh cells which can be found here. Runtime is about 75-80 minutes with these cells.
The Modlite 18650 light body is NOT compatible with the Surefire older Scout light heads. Also please note this item is just a light body and it is not a complete light.

Awesome product. Using the thyrm switchback method is hit or miss due to the button design, but not a big deal based on how I use it. Thyrm ring should be used but the spacer isn’t needed.

Absolutely love this thing. I upgraded my PLHv1 to a V2 for my long gun and decided to order this so I wouldn’t have a spare head not being used. Paired with the thrym switchback it’s just as at home on my belt working armed security as it is in my pocket for EDC. Highly recommend.

Awesome product. Reasonable enough size for back pocket EDC. Perfect paired with PLHv2 head and Thyrm Switchback. The machining is second to none.

Great machining, fits the Thrym swtichback perfectly with the O ring, no spacer needed. Enables me to keep the PLH head “useful” when the rifle is in the safe.
One small gripe is that the button is recessed maybe just a bit too far compared to other lights. Only an issue if you use the Thyrm “switchback method” for 2 handed shooting. I had to retrain where to press out with my hand in order to activate the light, and I still miss sometimes. I cant press hard enough to get it to click for constant on, so its momentary only, which may or may not be a problem for you. You can always activate the light before flipping it around, but make sure the path is not directly at your face when doing so. Or so I’ve heard.
