The ATACR™ 1-8×24 riflescope is designed and built to be the ultimate low-power variable riflescope. It includes pristine ED glass, bright daylight illumination, an intelligent reticle, very low-profile adjustments and bomb-proof reliability, with a field of view at 1x equivalent to open sights…but vastly more precise.
It measures just over 10 inches in length and weighs 21 ounces, with a streamlined profile. The daylight visible, center red dot allows for rapid engagements like a red-dot sight.
Unlike a red-dot, however, the 1-8x provides up to 8x zoom to help locate, identify and engage targets at the maximum effective range of most rifles. The intelligent FC-DMx first focal plane reticle provides precise hold and hold-off points. The low-profile turrets are capped to prevent accidental adjustment and offer true .1 Mil-Radian adjustment. To aid in fast magnification adjustments, an integrated Power Throw Lever (PTL) is included.

This is one of my favorite optics of all time. I Have an Atacr with the older Reticle. Over the last 5ish years, it has been thrown around in the back of a truck, eaten the dirt with me after diving to prone, and even dropped off the side of a mountain in Arizona during a day hike. It has held up like no other optic. I use the Badger Ordnance 1.7″ C1 mount (Psst, you can buy it here) which has endured most of what I mentioned. The optic setup has helped up zero ever after all the beatings. I wanted to try out the new reticle to see how it compares. Big Tex wasted no time in getting me the new optic (from ordered to received only took 3 days). the new FC-DMx is a definite improvement. I noticed an improvement in the brightness settings too; the brightness of the reticle isn’t as heavily affected by parallax as the older version. Only time will tell how the newer optic holds up, but if it’s anything like the other I own, I have high hopes. Despite the price tag, If you want one of the best 1-8 LPVOs on the market, I can’t recommend this option enough.

The best LPVO out there. Daylight bright and perfect reticle. Yes it is expensive but there are promos to help with that. This is definitely the case of buy once cry once. I will be adding a dark earth shortly.

Excellent glass, close to aimpoint bright, works great in any lighting. Very good consistent eye box/relief. As with any lpvo, adjust the diopter. There is a balance with optimum 8x clarity and an ultra flat 1x sight picture. The atacr does very well here, but you will give up very slightly on one end to make the other perfect. BTO is excellent, fast shipping, will buy here again.

Glass quality is amazing. The reticle is very easy to use and map. The illumination is plenty bright. Not aimpoint t2 bright but I have zero issues during mid day sun. Shipping was very fast. I will be purchasing another atacr from here in the future.
