Description
Lights only work well when their lenses are clean. CLENS provides an easy way to protect lenses during extended shooting sessions. Just like goggle tear-offs for off-road riding, just remove the dirty CLENS to return your light to its optimal brightness
CLENS (pronounced “cleanse”) is a set of heat-resistant clear polymer circles that are cut to fit on a wide range of flashlight and weapon-light lenses. CLENS protects the lens from carbon and other debris that can build up from the use of lights during firearms training. CLENS can be removed to quickly clean a light, rather than having to apply Vaseline before shooting, replace a lens, or risk abrasion with lens cleaners.
Below is a CLENS size chart, showing the four models of CLENS sheets and the corresponding count and sizes of CLENS on each sheet.
CLENS’ mild adhesive backing has a higher affinity for polymer than glass. This makes it easy to attach and position, without leaving adhesive on clean glass. However, adhesive may stick to a dirty or damaged lens; in this case, touching the sticky side of CLENS to any residual adhesive should remove it from the lens.
CLENS was made in collaboration with Aaron Cowan of Sage Dynamics / Sage Instruments.
* Follow all firearm safety rules at all times. Detach lights from firearms prior to installing, removing, cleaning, or replacing the CLENS.

The product is cut exactly to size, and adheres well to the lens. I did clean the lens first with eyeglass cleaning solution, and a lint free paper cloth. The little tab on the CLENS protector is useful for applying it. Be careful to keep the protector from sticking to your finger before applying it; if it does, it’ll leave a fingerprint on the sticky surface which reduces the clarity of the cover.

The THRYM CLENS assorted size set will work to protect your Modlite/Surefire/Streamlight rifle and handgun lights, anything between the full-size Modlite OKW/PLHv2 emitter heads down to the smaller Streamlight TLR-7/7A lights from carbon and unburnt gunpowder emitted from the muzzle during firing. These are especially useful if you have an aggressively venting brake/comp or flash hider with the light mounted quite far forward to minimize barrel shadow (I run my rifle lights like that) as well as to just protect your pistol lights’ lenses during regular practice without requiring you to have to keep applying bothersome, greasy substances like DogTurds or having to keep cleaning it with a rubber eraser (does work reasonably well for carbon-clouded lenses).
