The new HS507C -X2 Micro Red Dot System from Holosun is a pistol-sized optic with an open frame for a great sight picture, clear glass and a rugged 7075 aluminum housing. It is powered by a CR1632 battery and Holosun’s innovative Solar Fail-safe back up. The HS507C X2 will run up to 5 years on a single battery on setting 6, dot only. Featuring Holosun’s Multi-reticle system, the HS507C allows the operator to switch the reticle between a 32 MOA circle with 2 MOA dot, a 2 MOA dot only, or a 32 MOA ring only, all at the push of a button. Better yet, the same LED projects all three reticles, so no re-zeroing is necessary. It comes equipped with Holosun’s Shake Awake technology with last setting recall. This optic has Holosuns features in one tough, small package. Fits RMR mounts and milled slides.

Great red dot for my Glock. Easy mount, compact on the pistol, very easy to view the red dot and I love being able to shoot with both eyes open now. Easy adjustments as well. Cannot go wrong with this sight for the price and quality.

I love this little red dot and I think it’s going to give my RMR a run for the money. It packs in a lot of features for the price point and has some features that are pretty sweet. Sealed battery compartment, solar backup and multiple reticle options are my favorite features so far. Also a nod to Big Tex for great pricing and service!

The HS507C-X2 is a great incremental improvement over the first generation of the 507C and and a refreshing reminder that companies can listen to their customers and improve their products. The sideloading battery compartment is an improvement over the original meaning you no longer have to remove the optic to change the battery. Changing the default settings to better match my personal use case was simple and consistent. Battery life and recoil resistance haven’t really been tested (rode hard and put up wet for months on end in crappy hot, humid weather and/or monsoon conditions), but will put up another review after several months. Definitely plan to replace the last surviving type 1 RMRs with these Holosuns based on its performance so far.
