The Kratos Design Group Gas Block is CNC machined from precision ground 4140 steel bar stock. Featuring a .750 gas journal and a QPQ finish it is an incredibly robust low-profile gas block.
Several features throughout make the installation and maintenance easier.
- Located directly opposite the gas port hole is a small witness hole that you can use to verify proper alignment of the gas block over the barrel’s gas port. Jordan B. is responsible for providing Kratos Design Group with the idea for this hole. It’s a simple and effective way to visually confirm proper alignment.
- On the front of the gas block, there is a small hole that can be used to aid in the removal of the gas tube when needed for replacement or inspection. A 1/16″ punch can be used.
- Our gas block also features a built-in shelf to make drilling easier when pinning the gas block to the barrel. A ⅛” drill bit and ⅛” x ⅝” steel pin is recommended.
- Included are (3) 10-32 black oxide knurled set screws with a Rockwell hardness of C-45. We include an extra screw because they are easy to lose. Also in the package are (2) stainless steel gas tube coil pins.

Very easy to install. The witness holes make this the perfect gas block for new builders. The finish is great, no inconsistencies. I like the logo on the side, too. Fitment is perfect, no gas leakage to speak of. For a first product for this brand, this is a great start!

This block is awesome! Installed on a DD MK18 barrel; block fit snug, set screw dimples and gas port lined up perfect, and gas tube fit snug as well. Have put around 500rds on it so far and there is no leaking whatsoever. This is my new go-to block!

I have never changed anything on an AR before. The sight hole was very helpful for keeping it straughtband aligned. and the hole to remove the tube will be helpful because I had to chuck up the old one in a drill to get it out. Clean and simple design with upgrades over the old one

The gas block worked as expected. The product itself has some interesting features, a witness hole to verify alignment and a hole in the front to help knock out old gas tubes. Installed on a 11.5″ carbine length gas system, after a couple hundred rounds through it I experienced consistent ejection and no failures. All in all, I am impressed with the product and will anxiously wait to see what comes out next.

Machine work and finish quality are top notch, with a misplaced punch strike not budging the QPQ. Fitment is excellent on the VSeven in the build with the gas port alignment hole making it nice to not use a horoscope. Small parts included were quality and the front tube removal punch hole will be handy down the road. Will absolutely use on my next 0.750 build!
