Why We Love SOLGW Blems!
A few days ago Mike from Sons of Liberty Gun Works stopped by the shop so we spoke with him about a few topics. Here is a quick YouTube video on Sons of Liberty Blems from the man himself.
“Hey folks, Ike with Big Tex Ordnance here with Mike from Sons of Liberty. We’ve got a couple blems here on the table and Mike’s gonna talk a little bit about what makes a blem in the eyes of Sun Sons of Liberty.
It’s just one of the most frustrating things for me, and I actually that in a good way.
Our guys, they have such a high like bar for expectations that the stuff that they blem out. The stuff they blem out, I think is almost the end of, some of them might need counseling for OCD. Like right here, there’s a piece of tape and this ships like this piece of tape ships, like with an arrow that points like, a lot of these you can see there’s you’d have to look at it in the right light to see if there is like a little dot on the ano.
And that’s it. That’s why this, that’s why this entire receiver was blemed out. There’s, we would never let anything go that had any kind of mechanical or functional issue, but like an imperceivable little dot. It’s just amazing how tight our QC is. That’s a blem. This is another great example. You’re going to have a really hard time. Lemme see if I can find it. You’re going to have a hard time. We might be here a while. You’re going to have a hard time finding the blem and these FCD collab blem that we did.
These things are beautiful. Yeah, they’re gorgeous. Like the construction, they’re just like, the aesthetics on ’em are gorgeous and they’re super really well made receivers. Oh, there it is. So there, there’s the one. There is looks like a little bit of uneven anodizing right there.
When it’s assembled, you probably won’t even see that.
No. You’re upper sitting on top of it. So that’s the blem, which is a testament to son’s liberty’s, qc, and need the word to go steal some lowers. And I think my guys need some therapy. Yeah.
As of right now, we have some of these on the website and not sure how long will last, but they’re there as of this recording.
